North Korea - Some basic Information

Geography: North Korea, formerly known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is located in East Asia, situated between the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea. It shares its northern border with China and Russia, and its southern border with South Korea. It is on the northern portion of the Korean peninsula, covering about 55% of the peninsula, about 46,540 square miles in area. The capital of North Korea is Pyongyang.

Its population is approximately 25.55 million people, according to the 2018 World Bank. They are led by the Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un. The Premier is Kim Jae-ryong. The Kim dynasty has ruled the people for more than 70 years.
